Game design and 3D modeling

For more information, see my resume.

In order to play my games you'll need the latest version of DirectX, 9.0c. Unfortunately, Microsoft has released several versions but did not change the version. Get the March 2008 update here:

Asteroids
This game is part of a larger project for RollingSound.uk. They have introduced Video Game Design into their college curriculum and I was asked to write the course materials and create a game making tutorial for the students to follow and eventually create their own version of Asteroids.

This is an architectural simulation created for the 35th Signal Battalion while deployed in Iraq. They wished to visualize several major office modifications, including new workstations and a help desk counter, to scale.

Aftershock

Video showcasing the Aftershock First Person Shooter. This game won second place in the 2006 Ageia PhysX Competition hosted by The Game Creators and Ageia, read about it here.

Dreamwalker

This video shows Tasmania: Dreamwalker, a combination Role Playing and Real Time Strategy game based on the ancient Aborigines of Tasmania. I was hired by and collaborated with Tasmanian locals to produce a game that was not only historically accurate but fun as well. During this project I performed the roles of Game Designer, Programmer, Artist, and Project Manager.

Geisha House

Geisha House

Geisha House is my latest project, a large scale role playing game. Several publishers have expressed interest in the game once it is complete. Geisha House was the subject of a three page article in the game development e-zine Untitled.

Website design

www.phantomvoices.org  Troop 112 Scout Page

While my wife was deployed to Iraq I was asked to create and maintain the web page for the Family Readiness Group. The result was Phantomvoices.org, which provided a way to communicate en masse with both deployed soldiers and family members. The page included pages that could be maintained by the individual units, a community photo album and message board, news and weather, and a fund raising online shop.

While in Okinawa Japan I was asked to design the web page for my son's boy scout troop. The page was designed in Flash and had many capabilities of the FRG web page.

selfpublishOnline.com was a personal project of mine that I started several years ago, around the same time as the FRG web page. I dropped that project in favor of others at the time.

Graphic design

While living in Okinawa, Japan I was asked to design the unit coin. After being given some basic guidelines I designed the coin and several thousand were produced.

Also while my wife was deployed to Iraq I was asked to design the company t-shirt. Using the company's mascot, a bear, and also the theme of the welcome home party I designed the shirt. I also designed the logos and the theme of the party.

In addition to these I also designed all of the logos for the games that I created.
